After a long break from game I started playing again with latest patch. In late june61 I get the foolowing message in " unknown event type 27" What does this relate to and can anyone provide some enlightenment. Oh I am playing CSA if that is relevant?

Broch, did you happen to delete ACW first before applying the new patch? I had some crazy things happen also. I reinstalled ACW then applied the newest patch. I am all good now. :D

I'm pretty sure that the "unknown event type 27" means that your side has had a drop of 1% inflation rate - meaning the economic sunshine. Why it is reported as unknown event type 27 I'm not sure. In all my games i'm the CSA. (I'm reasonably sure it doesn't happen versus my English speaking opponents. But that message does come up versus my German speaking opponent- I'm pretty sure of this but not absolutely 110% sure. )

The problem may be due to the string being defined twice in the LocalStrings_AGE.csv file.

//Economy
StrInflationDown Economic sunrise, inflation lowered by ¤ point(s)

// Morale (+VP)
...
strInflationDown Economic upturn, inflation declining to ¤ point(s).

It was a drop in CSA inflation rate from 8 to 7 %- after I checked in the financials page I seen that that was the case.

It is not something I have seen before in any of the games I have played. I am now curious as to what would trigger a fall in the inflation rate and is it possible that some unknown event would trigger an increase in inflation.

Unfortunately I did not keep the save game as I had really screwed up on some moves I had made so I scapped the game - sorry about that. I was not thinking in the midst of cursing myself and the PC. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:
