... elements all deep in the red, stack power falling to near zero, what do I do? Sit tight and hope to survive somehow, or move to somewhere with supplies and better weather? Or is that stack doomed anyway, no matter what I do? :bonk:

Thanks! :)

Put your showshoes on! If they're going to die, they might as well die marching.

Too bad there's not a cannibalism option. Or an option for cavalry to eat their horses, thus becoming light infantry.

Or you can cheat and use the teleport button to send a fully supplied engineer or signal unit to join them, if the stack's not too big.

They should be okay if they can end their turn movement in supply. But during harsh weather that usually means in a supplied structure. Also, if you can move a supply wagon to them you can buy them time.

It's hard to maintain battle lines in the winter without supply units.

The problem is that even with supply wagons it can still not be enough because the supply wagons themselves can disintegrate. I had that happen once; lost two supply wagons the same turn in bad weather, the independent division they were attached to tried to move back to the nearest controlled town but didn't make it. That's how I lost Sheridan in that game. :(

Thank you, Gentlemen. I understand it's stupid of me to get in the situation in the first place, but winter surprised when in the midst of a promising offensive. BTW I also did lose Kilpatrick in a similar situation in the mountains of TN a turn ago. :bonk:
