leader bonus question

As far as i understand it a stack commander will give 5% combat bonus per off/def rating while an embedded commander (division or single unit) gives 3% bonus.

So, what will happen if i put someone in command of a division and just throw a single lower-ranking (i.e. higher seniority rating) general in to reduce command penalty?

Will the division commander also be stack commander and give a total of 8% bonus per off/def to his troops or can't embedded commanders be stack commanders?

Thanks in advance

The stack commander does give the 5% bonus, but if the stack and division commander are the same general you only get the 3%.

If you have a division in which the commander is subordinate to the stack commander the divisional commander will give his 3% and the higher ranking general will give his 5%. But that does not work in reverse, as mentioned above.

Soloswolf - are you sure that if the stack and division commander are the same, he gets only 3% bonus and not the 5%? Rafiki explained it as the reverse in this thread:

http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=12823

He said that the stack leader bonus of 5% would apply, but not the 3% division commander bonus.
