Naval Resupply

Hey there,

I have my transport fleet out in the shipping box and it doesn't seem to lose any cohesion but why do my warships in the blockade box lose cohesion? Or am I not noticing something else?

Hi
I bet your transports are on defensive and your combat ships on offensive.
On the boxes its better to use defensive posture (blue) always. That way you don't lose cohesion. And on the boxes posture does not mind.
There, interceptions and combat use a different system that on the normal map.
The advantage of transports is that they do not spend supplies, so they can be there forever.
Your other ships will have to return to port from time to time to resupply. Or you can use a transport to resupply them on sea. The transport will give his supply reserve to combat ships that need it.
If you don't want to be bothered with naval resupply check the options menu. There you can choose manual naval boxes resupplying or automatic resupplying.
Regards!

Two questions.

1) If I do want to actually hunt down rebel raiders, I have to use an offensive posture--no?

2) Even in passive posture, ships do seem to lose cohesion in the long run. I always thought this was due to bad weather or so ... or am I seeing things? :bonk:

Thanks. :)

Hi
i'm not 100% positive about passive posture, but on defensive, on the boxes, hunters will hunt, runners will run and CSA raiders will raid merchants!... and all with 0 cohesion loss

Unless something has been changed lately, on defensive there is no cohesion loss for ships. Maybe you are seen the effects of lack of supply?? or weather??

Also, bear in mind that ships on the way to and back from the boxes (iE: on normal sea zones) will be affected by the postures normally.
