Foreign trade

Tue Nov 04, 2008 1:56 pm

I have the 1.11d patch installed with the leader mod and since I installed these patches I have noticed that I no longer recieve income from my trade ships. Am I missing something? Do the transports need a certain move posture set?

...no.
I haven't had any problems, and I haven't seen anyone else report issues.

The last version of the Leader Mod i can find is for version 1.10b.
Using it with later patches may surely cause some problems.
Quite a lot of changes had been done between 1.10 and 1.11d. ;)

Got it... I thought that might be the issue, but wasn't sure. I really did not want to install any mods but I hate getting almost all new generals in my respective capitol.

I might just go back to vanilla as I am having issues with taking and holding coastal forts as well. Nothing is more frustrating than having a fleet of three frigate squadrons and an armored frigate around Fort Pulaski and watching as the Confederates throw a 500 point stack at the Fort turn after turn, as if my fleet wasn't even there.

Just allow yourself 3 redeploys each turn, then the generals shoing up in the capitol isn't a problem.

If you're worried about being able to take advantage of the redeployments, just make it a house rule for yourself that you can only use it from the capitol. Or, something like that...

That sounds like the best solution. I have never used it before as I thought it was gamey... but hay, you gota do what you gota do. Thanks for the quick replies. Overall, the game is very fun and I am enjoying it greatly and would and have recomended this game to others. Well, I am off to reinstall. Thanks again everyone.

I think a new factor "attributes" was added in the more recent patches and I think this now determines what vessels bring in trade.
If you are using the older Leader Mod models they wont have this.

I'm sure I remember the models DB gaining an extra column recently
