Does AACW work with VPN?

Does the game work on a VPN network and if so how do you set it up?

Alsp where can I find documentation on it

Are you asking if you can play it head to head over TCP/IP, rather than by sending files back and forth as PBEM? If so, then no, it is not possible.

ok no problem.....that would be a good update though I think...VPN is a virtual private network that is on the web and as long as you have the ip and same games you can play....just a thoguht

There is ARES, that makes the transfer of PBEM files a lot easier; have you checked it out?

(Disclaimer: I'm not 100% sure it is distributed with AACW)

Not included on AACW but its compatible it seems
Pocus posted a link to download the ARES program on the forum some time ago...
Now we only need to found it :siffle: :D

The utility comes in 2 flavors, one to be the server, one to be a client and uses TCP/IP for connection (and a bit of FTP protocol too). It is provided for free for all AGE games.

It has been made by Yoann, aka Celtic. :thumbsup:
