Questions

Fri Sep 07, 2007 12:51 pm

I began to play AACW two days ago, did the two tutorials, the small battle scenarios and began yesterday my first 1861 campaign. One question I have, is there a key or a "next unit" button? Right now I am using the small map that shows all units and try not to forget any units, however it would be easier having a key-button that select any unmoved units. I didnt find anything about this in the manual.

Thanks.

By the way the game is very immersive of the Civil War, very good music!

Hi Sya, yes use the 'e', 'r' keys. 't', 'y' for naval.
(Or it might be r t y u - I'm at work)
Cheers, Chris

Using the "r" and "e" button on the keyboard will get You cycling through all land units that are currently waiting for movement orders one after another. "t" and "y" do the same for naval units.

The appendices pages at the end of the manual (p.49ff in the printed version) list these and many more useful shortcut keys that make managing the bigger sceanrios much easier. :)

If you have the latest patch, 1.06d, you can also use the Ctrl F1, F2, F3, F4 keys for various options including removing static units.
