Bringing in the War Supplies from overseas...

Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:17 pm

...is there any way to increase? Initially, I get messages for fairly healthy doses of supplies (10-20 War Supplies per turn), then it seems to steadily dwindle. I'm not changing anything with my transport fleet or it's "raider chasers" so I assume raiders are cutting into my amount of War Supplies from overseas. I don't seem to get much information about this aspect of the game...maybe an occasional battle scene in the box of which the results I have no idea. I'll also note that I see the message "Union Merchang Ship sunk"....if this is the cause of my diminishing returns, I'm assuming I need to put more Raider Chasers in the Atlantic Shipping box? more transports?

thanks in advance for advice/tips...

You get a text message whenever a raider sinks a transport (you don't actually lose a ship unit, just money and war supplies). The game divides your war supplies and money based on your current stockpiles, so if you have more money than war supplies stocked, you should see more war supplies arriving. But once your stocks get to a certain level, the game seems to just split it about evenly between the two. So big swings only occur when stocks are low.

Add more transports to increase your totals. I usually keep about 20 transports in the box, any more and the return on investment isn't really worth it as each new ship added to the pool draws less and less. 20 seems about right for me.
