Newbie tutorial question

Thu May 10, 2007 12:52 am

Sorry for extreme newbie question but how do you save the game while doing the tutorial ? I have clicked on save game and also resume game but it never puts me back to exact spot I left from.
Thanks and it seems to be a really good game so far !!

The middle icon in the upper right corner of the screen will save your orders during the planning phase.

After leaving the game, you need to load it with "load game".

Hi bruce205,

as FlyingElvis said: The orders you have given will be saved. I think the current tutorial window won't be saved so don't let that confuse you, just open the one where you left the game.

Thanks for the help. Another problem I seem to be having is inability to merge units while drag and dropping the tabs over the unit details box. I have to drag and drop the units on the main map instead and it gets cumbersome with alot of units in the same region. Am I missing something?
Sorry for stupid questions and I have been computer gaming for a long time!

To merge, drag one tab on another tab or on the units panel (bottom center)
Not on the units detail panel (bottom right).
Hope it helps
Cheers!

Bruce, please note that dragging and dropping tabs will only combine units, which is a completly different game term than merging. Combining units will put them all in one big stack, but you cannot create corps or divisions with this method. To create a corps or division you must select units in the manner described in the thread listed above and choose the merge command from the orders panel ( to the left of the units pictures). Figuring out how to organize and build units was, I think, the steepest part of the learning curve for this game. Once you get that down everything else seems to fall into place. Dont hesitate to ask questions and search these forums for answers. Alot of very nice people here who love to help a fellow gamer.

Good Luck
