Great game !!!

Sat Apr 21, 2007 11:38 am

Hello everybody,

I am new to this game & reporting for duty !!!! :gardavou:

I am currently a veteran from Mad Minute Games " Civil War Bull Run" & "Take Command: 2nd Manassas".

I have followed the progress of this game through our Message Board at MMG & here, of course. I purchased the game yesterday, played the tutorials.
I am still in the learning process, so I will probably go through the 1st Tutorial again before moving on. I am constantly logged on to this Message Board to view the questions from fellow gamers & the answers. So far, I will say it is a different game than TC2M, but I really like this game :) . I am impressed with the amount of help from both the developers & fellow gamers. It reminds me of the helpful people on the MMG board.
I have both patches installed (unbelievable quick response to fix problems), and I also installed the Vista file as stated. So far, no Operating System issues.
The map layout is awesome along with the music, really cool  !!!
The graphics are also really good...

Bottom line is I know there is a learning curve here, but I am glad I purchased your game :hat: ...

Congrats & Good Luck !!!!!

Time to Play !!!!

The thing is, even thouh i havent got my finger on everything yet i can tell that the game is well made and is going to be worth the effort!!!!

A lot of games you just throw to one side when you cant understand it straight away.... definately not this one!!!!

Welcome Chamberlain,
Happy to see you don't share the same point of view as "Mayonaise" from MMG forum about this game. :)

Hello TC237,

Thanks for the Welcome.
Boy this game is far different from TC2M, but in a good way.
This is a strategic game where you really have to plan & keep your armies up to snuff.

Hello Adlertag,

Thanks for the Welcome. So far the game for me (1 day) is intriguing. I like to give new & different things a time to work out, especially new games.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for the Welcome.

I am retrying the Tutorial again & got stuck where I was told to merge the units from Nashville with the Corp of Sherman. The "1st Col. Brigade", the "Kentucky Volunteers" & the "Nash Artillery" to the Division of General Prentiss, 6th Division. I have merged successfully within the early steps of the tutorial, which was very easy - drap & drop one tab to another tab. This time I have to merge these units under a General within a Corp. I remember seeing this morning this same question was asked on the forum, so its's time to search for that answer.

Guys,

Found the answer I was looking for.

"Merge Nashville force with Sherman's Corps. Click on Prentis' Div. Control-click on each of the 3 units. Select combine units from the special orders menu (2nd tab, left column, 2nd from bottom with small plus symbol)."

The kudos go to NewAgeNapolean for this answer and it worked fine.
Thanks NewAgeNapolean :)

First campaign with the Game

Sun Apr 22, 2007 10:37 pm

I think ACW is a instant classic. It's a real Gem. Still getting most of the rules down. I like the system. Great Map also. Ill be playing this one for years to come.

I am kind of partial to the Rebs, since I live Arkansas. :sourcil: Oh Pocus, is Matrix going to pick this one up as well for download?

It's gotta be a good game if I bothered to print up the pdf manual. I haven't done that since Grigsby's Uncommon Valor a few years back.
