Which campaign to start???

Fri Dec 25, 2009 5:23 pm

I'm new to this game, just finished tutorials.

What I should do next to learn the game?
Which scenario or campaign and which side?

I would say try the main campaign for a few turns and just mess around with it - play both sides, try various attacks, sieges etc and get a feel for the results. When you have a feel for the combat results and supply effects dive into the main campaign - even start a PBEM
(you know you want to).

Cheers, Chris

Shiloh short scenario is interesting, with quite a lot of troops but small enough to not be too difficult.
I woudl recommend playing it with both sides for a couple of times. :)
Then, the april 1861 campaign with the CSA to taste the real thing.
But be prepared to restart quite a few times ;) Its what everybody does :D
If you prefer smaller scenarios and intermediate campaigns check the excellent Bigus scenario pack. :coeurs: :coeurs:

Arsan's suggestion is good. Also, suggest Western Scenario. t
