I just lost a PBEM game in somewhat odd circumstances (I think). But perhaps not.
Here's what happened all within one 15 day turn. The USA took a poorly defended Richmond (I know, I know!!). But troops sent by the CSA retook the city. However, then more USA troops retook the city again.
First question: Is it possible to look in a log file and see the national morale gains/losses? I know the log shows the imact for battles, but I didn't see the impact for the USA taking and losing Richmond.
I want to do this because in looking at the USA morale gain, about 85, it seemed like they may have gotten the big boost twice while they didn't lose much when they lost the capital (i.e. + Big Boost for taking Richmond - Little Loss for Losing it + Big Boost for taking Richmond again = too much morale gained???)?
Also, when a capital is lost, shouldn't the capital have been moved? I know that it would have been moved at the end of the turn if the USA held it, but what if the CSA counter attack had managed to hold on? Does the game provide that entire 15 day turn to retake it in which case, it is only moved if still in enemy hands at the end of the turn?
Likewise, if it should have been moved after being taken the first time, then in reality the "second taking" shouldn't have been that high a morale loss. If that is the case, any chance the code to move it is at the end of the turn when it should be immediately upon loss?
