Combine button

Thu Dec 04, 2008 8:57 pm

I selected General R. Johnson.

I Enabled him using the Enable him to assemble a Division button.

I selected the Units I wanted to include in this Division using the Ctrl Key.

Now I don't see the 'Combine' buttonl. Where is it; can anyone direct me to it or what did I do wrong?

Creating Divisions

Thu Dec 04, 2008 9:45 pm

I might be wrong, but I think that if you've selected a unit that's locked, then you won't be able to combine it with other units. Also, I think that if a Division commander has a brown envelope, you can't use him to create a Division.

Try this: when you're Division commander is ready and rip-snortin' to go, then try adding units one at a time, pushing the combine button for each one. If that doesn't work, then try moving the rip-snorter to his own space, all by himself, and then add units one at a time.

Now, if that doesn't work... well, I'm just totally clueless, OK?

AFAIK, AM tip should work.
Only reasons it could not work are:
1. You have reached the max. number of divisions allowed.
2. Your selected General is not active that turn.
3. You are trying to combine in a Division a Brigade composed of more lower rank units including a leader.

Napoleon: The army will obey me!
Ney: The army will obey to its Generals’ orders!

One wiki-article says 1125 words (with 6 pictures adding another 6000, I presume? :D ): http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Division#Procedure_to_form_divisions
