From Ronald Maxwell, the guy who directed Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. I had heard years ago that he was going to do one last one called 'The last full measure' which would cover the last year of the war, but I guess with Gods and Generals not being treated so well, he decided to go small scale and tell a family drama story set in the civil war instead.
Looks ok. Peter Fonda and Angus Macfadyen are both really great actors. The lead actress seems to be pulling some cold lines in the trailer though. There was a lot of ham fisted acting and dialogue in Gods and Generals. I hope with a decent script and actors like Fonda onset, maybe there will be a more driven story with some actual emotion going on. Gotta have that in a low budget drama. Ya gotta bring the goods with emotion and story... or just go balls out and give 'em the battles.
