Emphatic NO...

This is the history sub-forum, the purpose of which is for the posting of topics/items associated with the history of the Civil War. Unfortunately, the first installment of the historical content I have worked on for over a month is now ready to post but is delayed indefinitely until conditions have been satisfied for the maintenance of this particular thread.

It's up to Rafiki to set the conditions right. Basically, I have 70+ items to post over time and I want the thread containing the work closed to normal comments themselves. Comments as necessary will be quite welcome in other separate threads, but with 70 separate links, I would like to organize a thread that forumites do not have to wade thru hundreds of comments finding the various links as they get added over time. No offense to anyone, but this thread is already useless to me in this respect. It is kinda hard not to post in a brand new thread so mysteriously started isn't it? :)

I'll probably convert this one into THE discussion thread and initiate a new one that will remain closed from the start, but that will depend on Rafiki setting those conditions up. Signals must have gotten crossed and I mistakenly thought the conditions were already there yesterday when I initiated this thread else it wouldn't have gotten started in the first place.

Hope this explanation satisfies everyone's curiosity. :)
