New animated battle: Pea Ridge!
http://www.historyanimated.com/CWindex.html
Check it out
Forrest said something about killing a Yankee for each of his horses that they shot. In the last days of the war, Forrest had killed 30 of the enemy and had 30 horses shot from under him. In a brief but savage conflict, a Yankee soldier "saw glory for himself" with an opportunity to kill the famous Confederate General... Forrest killed the fellow. Making 31 Yankees personally killed, and 30 horses lost...

He remarked, "I ended the war a horse ahead."

So... Do you like it? I visit almost every day and refresh my civil war memory.

I always had problems with ACW books on battles and tactics because they were so hard to follow. Too many commanders and strange names of places and... You know...

I don't know if it's flawed (most things were easily recognizable references to a certain individual general), but I was Sherman as well (75%), then Forrest, Longstreet, Grant, Burnside, Lee, Stuart.

It thought I was U.S. Grant (second choice: Longstreet). I don't think there's a close resemblance. I sympathize more with Longstreet; but Grant's memoirs were ably written.
