Help needed on F&I war

Hi everybody!

I guess this is the right place to ask so let's go.

I'm a french history student and I'm starting a master which basically have for subject the indian art of war and its use by the european armies during the French and Indian war. I already have quite a good number of sources and books, mostly in english of course, but I'd like to ask everyone here who feels to help me for books on this subject that you think deserve to be read.
For those of you who live in Ontario and Québec, I'll be spending the whole month of september in Ottawa (maybe Montréal, I'm not too sure yet). I'd like to know if some universities around are better furnished for that period and that subject, for I'll probably be going here and there to gather sources.
The main reason for me doing this is I'm looking for stuff I will obviously not find neither in France nor in Great Britain.

Thanks for the support. Indeed, it is a very promising study and it is also quite a challenge, especially since, as far as I know, no such work has been done yet. Add then that, more than the lack of documents in France is the even greater lack of able univ. prof. for such a subject and you get something really exciting

My own experience is that the French university is pretty harsh with people that explore new pathes...

I can recommand you to a professor in King College (London) specialist of northern american indian civilisation. She should be able to give you some advice, even she is not specialit of military stuff. She married a friend of mine.

I guess you're right, but that's probably a sickness that affects too many scientists who believe that if it hasn't been done, that's just because there is no need of it...
However, I found myself quite lucky in founding a prof. of modern military history in Nantes who, though not being specialized in american colonial warfare, gently accepted to follow me seeing I was kind of jumping around him until he says "ok, you're in" Well, you know what I mean

I'd gladly take your offer for a contact in London(even if it's of the smallest use, it's always good to catch such occasions).
