What movies of this time period do you like? Here are my top three:
1. The Crossing (Excellent account of the Delaware Crossing by Washington)
2. Last of the Mohicans - 1992 (A lame romance, but gotta love that Fort William Henry Massacre Scene)
3. Patriot - (Lots of things wrong with it, but good Battle Scenes)

No, I haven't seen that series, but I'm thinking of pursuading the school I teach at to purchase it so I can watch it....

My girlfriend bought it for me this past Valentine's Day

It's a pretty good overview of the war, with some pretty cool reenactments of the battles. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it

Yeah, The War that Made America was a very good and educational show, as was Washington: The Warrior. I have always like The Patriot, even though it certainly wasn't a serious historical film.

Big fan of Last of the Mohicans......great music, great story, great subject....and for some reason I just LOVE Madeleine Stowe.
Hey, the romance was painful, but to get the battles and the F&IW story into a movie, I could live with it.
Washington: The Warrior is on tonight I think on the History Channel or PBS I plan to catch that.
