The NC Christmas quiz starts with a video :-

The question comes tomorrow.

The prize up for grabs is Medal of Honor: Airborne for the PC.

The question is a little easier this time :-

Who was the master Napoleon was referring to when he said

"If your master wants war... tell him he will not celebrate Christmas in Vienna."

PM me with the answer and if correct your name will go into the hat for a draw on December 25th.

Cheers, Chris

So far only one correct entry. The Halloween quiz only had 3 so you have a good chance of winning if you enter! In keeping with the last quiz there is a mystery booby prize if you name the link between the first video and the second.

http://oesmira.blogspot.com/2007/10/siouxsie-banshees-il-est-n-le-divin.html

As always this somewhat bizarre thread allows you to post absolutely anything you feel like posting. Link to anything you want. I think it's a nice way to get to know what our fellow players like - whatever that may be.

(With me you can probably tell it's Siouxsie and the Banshees among other things).

Cheers, Chris

Only 3 correct answers so far and one of those doesn't want the prize - so you have a great chance to win a great game!

Still 12 days to go!

For anyone that actually watched the first link - a very different version
with possibly the most wonderful and skankiest guitarist ever - anyone know his name?

Booby prize still up for grabs.

Well you made me look up "Rasmus Modsat" which only turned up the
intriguing "Her finder du synspunkter".

The mind is boggling!

For some light relief can anyone name the only decent Christmas songs that have not already been posted?

Not really light relief, but I have come to love Transsiberian Orchestra's Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 (though I find it bettwer without the video). :p

And you weren't referring to Twelve Days of Starcraft, either? :p

Though I think The Twelve Pains of Christmas is much closer to the truth.

I hope we are all happy about this?

Anyone not happy and shocked on behalf of somebody?

As we are out of decent Christmas songs I thought I would post a few tunes I like. I managed to stop myself posting this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJEuc9fRFlI as it's so dreadful, even though she's OK in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZyTOROlo9E

The best pub singer of all time, with the only song that has brought a tear to my eye in 20 years :-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtQjMSfBs90

One of the best songs of all time with one of the worst videos. What happened to that YouTube vid with the US college
students wiggling their feet to this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2M9aeMBV1w

Some babe singing the best national anthem in the world :-

I'd be interested to click on your pre Christmas links!

Did I hear a call for christmas songs?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjQgBFe_Pw0 <=== "Boyzvoice"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkQhAVFxDFk <=== Monty Python (christmas song is just a small part of it, though)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7Yjo-5nJ-c <=== Mel & Kim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8rY0Fyws20 <=== Mariah Carey (I dunno, but at the right moment, this one hits the spot)

And I'll let Bing Krosby and Nat King Cole round it all off. If these doesn't get you in the christmas spirit, nothing will, and I'll have Korrigan change your forum title to "Grouch" :D

A wonderful song and an Englishman with a hint of Gerard Depardieu?
(With also a hint of early Genesis?)

It's true concerning Gerard Depardieu, maybe his nose or the fact that Fish (Marillion's famous singer) is a very tall man ?
While we could find a hint of Genesis in Marillion, they have an unique identity with their songs.

Try this one, it's a long song , 7min37s , but by 2min05s you will begin to fly very high in the sky...
