Goodies for the new year ?

Tue Jan 03, 2017 4:18 pm

I don't really know where to post this, and it's a bit of a shame that the general discussion forum is hidden deep in the entrails of the Ageod Forum, but here it is : It would be great to get some goodies, screenies, whatever we can get our hands on as a teaser of what is to come in 2017 from Ageod !

Thanks guys !

Rock Paper Shotgun has info for the second game on the "old" engine:

Finally. My 35-year wait for a serious strategic treatment of the ECW is set to come to an end mid-April. While Pike & Shot recreates the conflict’s skirmishes and pitched battles with aplomb, its simplistic strat layer can’t do justice to the atomised nature of the national picture or properly represent the tangle of background events that influenced the war. On paper the AGEod engine with its event cards and densely patchworked maps has a much better chance of delivering a credible, flavoursome simulation. Aware that many struggle with larger scenarios in AGEod games, the designer of Wars of Succession, the other series title due next year, is taking steps to ensure his creation doesn’t overwhelm. Let’s hope similar thinking informs ECW.

So no goodies right ?

BTW I really think this forum needs a new layout overall, it is too fragmented for its overall size and viewing base and it would gain from having some a more dynamic "general forum" opening straight away when one visits the forum. Otherwise it really looks if not dead, very very quiet..

An active and lively general forum that is easily accessible (not hidden somewhere down the bottom) is very important to make new users come back and stick around.

My 2 cents.
