Slow Ageod forum speed

Tue Apr 28, 2015 11:31 am

Is it just me but since a few weeks(?!) Ageod forum is running markedly slower all the time than the other websites of the Slitherixeod group, including accessing forum and getting to threads & pages?

Best regards

No, I've been thinking the same....
Forum is getting painfully slow and today seems to be the slowest yet :(

And I don't think it's to do with the number of people browsing the forum either, there are only 75 on at the moment......

The only thing I note is perhaps a slower loading of the forum at start, but then all seems as usual to me...

Browser related, perhaps ? I mainly use Safari.. ;)

I have the same issue (Firefox browser), it's rather slow indeed. May be a server issue?

Using FF Ageod forum is slow. Don't have any other problems with FF.
Just tested Ageod forum with Google Chrome: Much better performance opening threads and pages.
Smells like some compatibility issues between Ageod forum software and Firefox.

I do not use Firefox and I have observed absolutely no change in the AGEOD forum speed or performance recently.

I use Opera and Chrome. Painfully slow with both. I also think it has recently got worse. Sometimes it take 10 secs to load a page with only text?

I use Firefox normally, but have found it is also slow with IE.....
I haven't noticed any other pages that I visit being slow though, it just seems like this forum :(

Should be solved now. The cause was the "Tapatalk" plugin which was accessing endlessly the forum and slowed it dramatically. We removed it for now

erf.

I use Tapatalk often on my Kindle to check forums. I hope this can be restored without degrading the forums.....

No better for me - still very slow (18 seconds from clicking on a thread to being able to read it). No problem with any other site.

For me too - 30 seconds to get in. But it's been awful for a few months now.

Cheers,
Chris

Thank god! I thought I'd have to get my meds adjusted again

Just tried it with Chrome: 45 sec. until the first lines started to display and about 75-90 sec. until the dial stopped turning.

I hope you can fix this problem -- the forums are so slow for me that they are not usable. This is definitely not a browser issue.
