The Aarthena award

Wed Apr 04, 2012 8:40 am

On the Paradox Forum right now, there is an award for all the AAR closed in 2011 on AGEOD games. Anyone can vote for its favorite.

Please go vote if you read them - it is good for the morale of AAR writers :)

I can recommand you the following AARs :

My Learning from Prussia - the first one with some not up-to-date informations (and mistakes), quite crude in the screenshoot (I did not know how to resize) and poor English

Loki100 and my Wars in America - a How-to, a MP AAR from both points of view, with more accurate information and great writing skill by Loki100, and lots of lulz about barbecue incidents and accusations of war crimes. And poor English from me.

Loki100's RoP, the White, Blue and Green version - extremely well-written and balanced until the end. My choice.

StephenT's Remember the Maine! - short and straight to the point. We need more "short scenario" AAR in my opinion.

Go an vote !

It's a tight race between loki100 and Narwhal. :) More than anybody else on the Paradox forums, these two have managed to convince old Paradox player of the merits of AGEOD games. Narwhal's AAR are better than any tutorial. In fact, I don't believe anybody has ever explained the AGEOD system in such a complete and captivating way.

Voting in this poll, is a nice way to show them some appreciation (which will hopefully help motivate them to continue their great work). ;)

Last day to vote, if you procrastinated like I use to do.

As the gap between the first and the 2nd is one vote, your vote may be decisive.

Also, we have more vote than for the Iron HeAARts Award :)

Just to say, Narwhal's Learning from Prussia was the first winner ... and a very worthy one too in my opinion

Great ! Sorry about that one vote. though I voted very early.
I think "Wars in America - a How-to" should be the winner as it was written by 2 players with better feedback, analysis of the scenario and better Inglish.
Anyway hope the guys up here will be more interested in next years competition that will include very good Rus AAR's written already.
