I get the fascination with Abraham Lincoln. I don't quite get the current fascination with vampires. And I really don't understand the success of the book "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" by Seth Grahame-Smith. http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/apr/17/zombie-austen-lincoln-vampire

And now I hear Tim Burton is making the book into a movie!

Oy gevalt!

This is the author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which (if you haven't seen it) splices a zombie-apocalypse plot into Jane Austen's novel. It's clever for a little while, but nothing about his writing is really memorable.

After you establish the funny premise (zombies in Austen, vampires and Lincoln), there's really not much left to do with it.

"Going" mad? That imples that I'm not mad, or haven't been up till recently, a claim I have never made (for obvious reasons) ;)
