I tried the demo last week-end and bought it this week.

I had participated with the beta a while back, but wasn't really impressed. The whole thing just seemed too much like a BF2 mod. Regardless, after EA's policy of showing more interest in releasing expansion packs and booster after booster, rather than fixing blatant issues with the core game--I'm done with that series.
Not to take anything away from the game, I'm sure it's a lot of fun for many gamers. Unfortunately, EA's past support practices of the series (played 'em all from the original BF1942) has left a sour taste in my mouth.
