Can you do all of them?
I know that is impossible so I will settle for whatever is chosen.

Greek War of Independence 1821-1832

Fascinating post-Napoleonic era. Harsh terrain. Intrusion of foreign powers from both sides. It has all and everything! :)

I'm really curious what Agoed's main team will make as its next game (after the Rome thing - if the main team is involved at all big way).

I could imagine ... somehow the two Phils experience of making games vastly grew the last two or three years.

So what direction they will go or they shall go? What do you think? More - *interesting* - niche conflicts with an - absolutely lovely - TBS engine, an engine, frex Paradox thinks of as economically possibly not very successful? That could be 2 handicaps, the themes and the engine.

Now, if I had to chose only one thing I'd keep and evolve the TBS engine ( plus make it more easily moddable) and would think deep & hard about making more popular themes. So somehow I think, If we'd want for instance a Greek war of independence - we probably have to mod it ourself.

Just one last thing:
Beside of operationally pushing counters onto just too large a map - what about strengthening the game aspects ruling & building & character networking. Apparently many gamers like this a lot - when they grew older possibly rather TBS than RTS. Could that be a way to go?

What do you think?

Best regards

The purpose of the Large European Map project is to give players/modders the tool for making interesting strategy/operational games over various period of times...the more help we receive on developping the tool, the sooner the means available to the community... ;)

Good idea! But since there are revolutions in Mexico from 1810 to 1920 or so, I'm guessing you mean the one with Zapata and the Yaquis blowing up trains.

Yes, the period 1900 1917 seems very interesting and funny !!
lots of differents units, trains, outlaws, mercenaries, machinegun and few planes (Rod Steiger and James Coburn)

I agree entirely with the idea of a Mexican Revolution game. In fact I was about to suggest it myself when I saw the above post.

As the revolution had no clearly defined end, beginning, or opposing factions, the game may need to simplify a bit but I still think this would make a great subject.

I wouldn't exactly describe the period as funny, but yes I think a game would be great for this. But I think the game would probably end the revolutionary period in 1920, with the presidency of Alvaro Obregon.
