I just find one in file and copy/paste ;)

I gave up on trying to remember <ctrl><alt><shift><F11> or whatever to get a special character ;)
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!

You probably know this already but incase you don't....
You should be able to do it on most laptops, usually the Numpad keys work by holding
[fn]+ALT+ (code)
Sometimes the (code) keys are not the actual number but are letter keys.
Anyway, have a look at the link, there are codes for those super-cool German Ü, ß as well as those goofy little French Ç :D

(maybe Rafiki can split this?)

Open Office as well as MS Office have a "Insert special character" function, which can be used to insert all kind of strange stuff. :)
