Athena is the goddess of warfare and wisdom. I'm her sister, Aphrodite. I used to be the goddess of love and beauty, but the temple economy being what it is these days... well. I defied my dad (Zeus), and married a mortal. (Dixicrat). And so I kinda got banned from Olympus, and lost my job as a goddess.

Actually, things are rather nice as a mortal, and I'm glad that I got out of the goddess business before everything collapsed. Mom and Dad have had to resort to doing doing sponsorships and collecting royalty checks and stuff like that. Athena got a great job in France working for a wargaming company, and Hermes has taken a job in the United States, with a Floral delivery company. We all should have seen it coming, really: we haven't had a new temple dedicated to any of us in centuries. Kinda a bummer, if you ask me. You get used to all the attention, and the flowers and incense and people chanting your name and invoking you and stuff like that, and then one day... it's all over with, and you can't help but kinda wonder what you did wrong.

So, I've become the wife of the most wonderful man on Earth, and even had a few children, along the way. My dad Zeus is kinda proud, even if he doesn't admit it; but Hera, my mom, doesn't approve of me having mortal children at all. My sister Athena hasn't said much about it, which I think is pretty wise, but we don't talk much these days. (OK, really, we don't talk at all.) I occasionally see Hermes, but he's always here and gone again so quickly that we never have a chance to talk. So I really don't know how he's doing or what he thinks. (But he always brings flowers, and I think that's kinda sweet.)

So anyway, Athena has wisely decided to manifest herself as the AI in computer wargames... like the one you bought. You can tell her how merciful (or brutal) to be with all of the options and stuff, and if you need help figuring out how to defeat her, there are many good mortals here on the forum to help you.

And if you behave yourself but need a little encouragement because you're discouraged because you keep getting beat...?

I, Aphrodite, will give you a reassuring smooch. I might not be the goddess of love and beauty anymore, but I still know a little bit about making mortals happier! :)

Thanks for the welcome-smooch.

May be someone can help.
Searching for my Avatar: where's the library.
I'm a bit dumb, cannot locate it.

Not a reply from Athena.
Summonin' her is so hard matter?

There is no library of forum avatars; you find the one you'd like to have and upload it, e.g. via http://www.ageod-forum.com/profile.php?do=editavatar. It cannot be above a certain size, and it has to have a minimum of suitability (I have yet to see avatars here that haven't had that, though)

Athena is a busy woman; for instance, keep in mind all the games she needs to keep track of and ensure that the players get the opposition they deserve :)

Well, I hope that the task of having to find your own is outweighed by the liberty of getting to choose almost any avatar you want :)

How about commanders that people don't really know about that you hold dear to your heart?

For instance, for me,
Daniel Edgar Sickles

manju wrote:"Athena" is a song written by Pete Townshend and recorded by The Who. It appears as the first track on the group's final studio album before their dissolution, It's Hard (1982). It was released as the first single from that album, achieving moderate chartal success at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, but good airplay on album oriented rock and later classic rock radio formats, and number 40 on the UK Singles Chart. Along with the second single, "Eminence Front", "Athena" was one of the two tracks that were well-received on an album generally not regarded very highly by critics and consumers alike.

Smart spammer!

EDIT POCUS: Manju post deleted and him permanently banned.
