Happy Birthday, your majesty. :p arty:

On this day, and in gratitude for your return, I offer...

Keeping Things Whole by Mark Strand
In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

Lol, reminds me the reverse:
Bauhaus, Exquisite Corpse (1982)

1. Life is but a dream x8

2. I make the air fall apart
Around me
Now as the petals are no more
A corroding, shrinking stalk remains
Bereft of his blooms
And the ultimate cruelty of loves pinions
Beset his appearance
Beset his appearance
No king could replenish his state
Now browning, sinking, dying
A thousand deaths x3

3. (coughs)
Terry sat up
And hugged the green army surplus bag
Around his skinny waist
It was cold
And the person beside him had faded badly
Legs apart his eyes lit up
THE SKY'S GONE OUT - THE SKY, THE SKY...
THE SKY'S GONE OUT

4. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

5. The sky's gone out! x12

On this day in 2009, I became Queen of AGEod.

I wept, that day... not for grief of course, but because I was so touched by the kindness of this community, and the respect and affection that you gentlemen bestowed upon me. I wept in the way that women do, when they are unable to express in any other way the magnitude of feeling that they have when they are overwhelmed with emotion. I wept, because I was emotionally moved to be so honored and loved by such wonderful and admirable men as you, the gentlemen of these forums.

Hey, guess what?! History is repeating itself! :D I can barely see the screen of my laptop! :mdr:

In the real world, royalty is hereditary, and they who bear the title of "Queen" are granted exceptional privilege in return for great responsibility. Here, however, things are a bit different. My title is a gift, given through the might of MarkShot, approved by the Phils, and empowered by the support of such gentlemen as Lodilefty. Here, I have no weighty responsibilities, even though I am granted great privilege and respect.

I do not deserve such honor and privilege, for I have done nothing of any consequence, here. And yet... you, the gentlemen of this community, make me feel truly special, appreciated, and loved.

I love this community, in a way that is beyond the ability of words to express. You have challenged my mind, lifted my heart, comforted my grief, and made me weep with laughter! You have respected my opinions, shared your wisdom, nurtured me, taught me, and enriched me in so many ways.

Gentlemen, I love you dearly. Thank you for all that you have done for me; and thank you for the lovely and touching birthday greetings. Truly, you make me feel like a Queen!
