The Renaissance

Have AGEOD ever thought about making a game focused on the Renaissance and the Italian wars period? It would be very interesting, just think of the possibilities: you cold use one of the italian minor states, the Holy Roman Emperor, France or Spain, with the historic mercenary leaders, diplomats, artists and writers of the time. Think of the politics, the balance of power, the intrigue and the Holy See. Think of the possibility of playing as "The Prince" Cesare Borgia, or the De Medici family, or the Sforza family. Or maybe you could want to play as Charles VIII, king of France? Come on, this period is too cool!

The perfect title would be "Machiavelli"

The perfect title would be Il Pricipe, "The Prince"!

I love the book from Macchiavelli, but all it's very actual in modern days too!

I'd be extremely interested in such a game (see my sig), but it's been suggested that the commercial viability of games like that is doubtful.

True!
Not a game to enlarge AGEod customers community, but a game to be sold within AGeod gamers existing lobby!

Best seller titles, not working to remake/upgrades of old ones as AACW, should be: WWII, CRUSADE Age, Rome Empire Age!
BTW, two were marketing hits in the Total War series!

Maybe will Tchounga adapt the Montjoie sequel Renaissance to a computer game ? It shares the same mechanics than the medieval games and is very fun to play !
Not a very detailed simulation as in a Ageod's title, but a good and fast boardgame settled in XVth century Italy !
