EDIT: This was branched off from a discussion where Dixicrat had helpfully provided a link to one of the discussions here, but used an alternative URL for the forum access

Dixicrat, please switch to using http://www.ageod.com rather than the one you webserver you use in the post above; for all parts of the forum to work correctly, you need to use http://www.ageod.com :)

I've been using the method that you PM'd me about posting a link to a particular post; and I removed a link in another thread which had the offending URL. I've tried cutting and pasting "www.ageod.com/" into the URLs, but then the link doesn't work! I always receive some variant of this:

Not Found
The requested URL /ageod.rss/forums/showthread.php was not found on this server.

How can I correct this? I sincerely and deeply regret any trouble I've caused; it was unintentional, as surely you know. Am I somehow "tied" to a Birth of America server, through registration or something similar?

I'll post no further links until we resolve this issue.

Best regards,
Dixicrat

Problem solved! (I think...)

Hi, Rafiki! I think I've determined the problem. Our route into the forums has been a bookmark that I established when I originally joined the forums. I examined its URL, and sure enough, it included the "Birth of America2" string. I've changed the bookmark to a different path, so hopefully this will resolve all problems. :thumbsup: Again, my apologies for any disruption. :cuit:

Sorry for hijacking the thread. The only two reasons I'm posting this instead of sending you a PM are
1) in case someone else has the same problem;
2) I'm guessing that you have a few thousand PMs to get caught up on, and probably don't need another one.

Good to hear you got things resolved :)

And yeah; it's not thousands, but I am scratching my head over what to do about the 680 I do have Image

No worries about that now that I've branched off this part of the discussion and moved it into GD :)
