In fact, the interest in autumn 62 was so high because Stonewall had successfuly repelled Union forces at 2nd Bull Run. It did then appear South was indeed able to *defend* it self.
Well anyway, this has again gone far enough off-topic I think. I think I can agree with Clovis (if he sees it fit to agree with me) that we disagree on quite a few things
