Drag & Drop on Laptop with touch pad?

Gents,

Trying to play To end all war on my laptop. manual shows how to drag & drop using a mouse. How do I drag & drop using a touch pad?

Click on the object with your finger.
Keep your finger on the touch pad.
Move your finger corresponding to how you want the object to move.
At the end of the move, lift your finger.

I should have said double click with your finger. My touch pad is rather finicky so it can take a couple tries before my double click selects an object.
