Wmp?

Sun Nov 23, 2008 12:04 am

Hi folks, can anyone tell me how to capture a screen from Windows Media Player? If I hit print screen and paste it into Irfanview I get everything on the screen apart from the video image.

Thanks, Chris

It works here without touching anything, Windows Vista and the version of WMP included.

It may be different depending on your windows and WMP version, some solutions are posted here, take a look

I use KMP Player to view video, it is free and practical because it has all the codec filters within it I guess (never had to care about installing a codec separately). You can put pause and then use a menu to capture the image in a file.

I found a weird way of doing it. I open a video file in *another* video player (VLC, Winamp ...) and then the file I want to capture from in Windows Media Player. That allows me to capture from WMP (but not the other player). Don't ask why this works, though, I have no idea.
