Do you they change anything at all?
And does this game let you play beyond the set end date kind of like the civilization and total war series do?

Controlling a Province allows you to build Provincial Units and some of these are quite good. Provinces create less Decadence than a group of regions, which is very good. Also, the total food and infrastructure of a Province are averaged over the regions, allowing small ones to grow more rapidly. I loaded my Sarmatian campaign and was able to process turn 502, so the game can continue, although I don't know how long.

Thank you, i created 3 provinces when i last played Tuesday night. I was thinking provinces meant you were giving up some control of the province and letting it have semi autonomy. I play for absolute control!

My Athens game ended up with a Persian victory but said "Persia won the game, but you can continue to play if you wish" or just about something equal to that.
Both scenarios offer a great deal of difficulty, fun, and their own unique environment
