Patch notes to FOG 2 refer to empires

After reading the patch notes to the latest FOG 2 patch, which came out last week, I noticed that they had a reference to something that was done regarding GOG Empires. It seems likat FOG 2 is now ready for Empires battles.
Does this mean that FOG Empires will be coming out soon, after the Steam summer sale?
I truly hope so.

Ah...but as per most recent news...FOG: Empires to be released July 11th!
