Strangeness with latest patch

Playing as Rome, new start with the latest patch.
As mentioned elsewhere there seems to be a hick up with the metal display. It was showing my max amount and how much I had and was earning.
I built some more troops and it is now not increasing at all, despite the tooltip showing it should be going up by 8 per turn. It is well under what the previous max amount was.
The other thing I have just noticed is my main army. All the legions did have 4* of experience, they now only have 1*.
I didn't notice when this changed though so a save is not forth coming.
Was there something put into the patch to remove experience from units over time?

Several turns later and my legions that were at 4*, then down to 1*, are now back up to 3* of experience........

On a different note I have noticed a few times that the money toltip fluctuates wildley.
Eg, one turn you have plus 200 odd per turn, nice and stable for a few turns. Then it will show it as only plus 50 for a couple of turns, then it goes back up to what it was. Can't tell what was causing the drop in income, no wars, anyway.....

the income variation might be because the admin burden now keys off both your state size and the amount of money you have in reserve. if so, it may well shift around a lot more as you have a good turn and then it hits the cash pile?

If you have a save where a unit has an experience of X and then a turn later is lower than one level (because if you change leader, you change level), then I would like both turns.

No save I'm afraid, it was quite a few turns ago......

I'll keep an eye out for it happening again though
