First Post Release Patch

Post Release Patch 01 beta for Wars of Succession

Latest Post Release Beta patch (N°01, 4th March) can be downloaded here:

It’s all inclusive of all previous patches and can apply on either a previously patched version or a vanilla game. It’s save compatible (although behavior of previous saves may be altered by changes).

LIST OF CHANGES

Major
* Civilization level bug fixed

* New values better reflecting national specifics of Swedish, English, Dutch armies. Minor fixes to other armies. Polish and Hungarian initial infantries levelled down to Russian pre-reform musketeers.

* Winter 1709 Great Winter errors and duration fixed
* Regional Decisions renewal events chain fixed
* Regional Decisions of Requisitions and Forced Recruitments (Draft) fixed. In addition they also now cost 1 EP to play.
* Added the possibility in all scenarios to buy additional garrison units (depots, guns and troops)


Other Events / Options
* Savoy Alliance with Grand Alliance Fixed
* Changed behaviour to allow better access to Lines of Brabant event
* Fixed nation relationships to prevent access to neutral Prussia / Brandenburg (the possibility remains but only via political option)
* Added a 20 EP cost to the Grand Alliance expeditions to Gibraltar, Barcelona and Minorca.
* n immediate unlock of Habsburg forces (Vienna, Austria, Bohemia) with the Hungarian revolt and / or Bourbon invasion of Austrian territory (otherwise those forces will remain locked in place).

DB Various
* Cossacks can only be recruited in Cossacks areas now (southern Russia / Ukraine / East)
* Polish units names fixed

* Marlborough and Eugene non-used Strategist abilities (because of no Army command) replaced
* Karl XII is now a forager, i.e. he will increase supply consumption of his stack
* Rhenskjold seniority lowered to allow for more time before he can reach top seniority in Swedish army.

Graphics Various
* Fixed some Swedish regions to have some Swedish accented letters displayed (ex: Smaland)
* New Graphics for Swedish guard foot companies, fixed some other units graphical assignments.

WARNING
This patch has been tested by the developers but it is still to be improved, so it is NOT yet an official one. There might be some extra fixes later on up until it becomes "officially" official... :bonk:

Thanks. Fast look.

Regarding what I posted in the GNW scenario.

- Apparently nothing was done related to Arkhangelsk.

- Cossack recruitment, I see only possible in southern areas, which is good IMO. But they are still listed as infantry.

- Constantinople treaty, the graphic of the event is in the patch, but cannot see any text added in the localstrings file. And not listed with the changes.

one question reffering to that sollution:

-is there a list o new valuues one can see?

-is there a way that Poles and Hungarians stats will improve? i mean changing in to modern infrantry?

Thanks a lot for the patch. It looks great.

However, I came across a graphics glitch in the recruitment menu with the replacements' area having boxes and lines that weren't there previously:

Found out in order to download the .rar file for my Windows computer, I need to use 7-zip.org . Is 7-zip trustworthy as a site? I know it's been around for years, but I've never used it, and I don't want to get a virus on my computer. Is there another way to download the Beta patch, or can I trust 7-zip.org?

I have used 7-zip for ages without problems, you may trust it.

Anyway Winrar has a trial version

Yes, a mistake, it seems someone left there the F2 minimod files...

Go to Graphics/FrontEnd and delete the whole folder GUIMilProduction (dated 03/03/2018)

W would like to have F2 minimod in game as default. It just better suits my taste.

But the question is: WHY do I need replace/delete files instead of changing 2 letters in settings?

rulRPLCategories = 0 // Replacements are done by categories

inoNewMilitaryProdScreen = 1 // 1 is using MilitaryProd.dfm, 2 is using new ReinforceReplace.dfm

I would be happy to just use notepad to change both graphics with single editing.
