This inspired me to play EAW all over again.

Some inspiration back to you sir ...

The game needs more French generals,
don't you think? :)

Looking at this more and it's a really cool link, could be quite useful. Thanks for that!

Any chance of putting them all in a .rar or .zip file? :)

Yeah, I could do that pretty easily. Maybe even include the model, unit and army files as well. Will see about it over the next couple days.

Also hoping to add some more stuff, might take a bit but I'm still on it!

Please post the .zip here (if size will allow for it), I'd like to incorporate the graphics. If you can't upload it here, let me know maybe we can use wetransfer or dropbox to get them moved over.

Please could someone list the files and folders needed to create a working portrait? I'd like to help fix up the leaders that are missing portraits.

EDIT: Never mind...figured it out.

Cool :thumbsup:
Getting pics of Turks and Russians is very difficult. Hope you manage it.

Going ever so slowly...never really used Photoshop before. Anyway, I've picked a German to experiment on. I'll post the result when i have something.

EDIT: First try now attached. Struggled a bit making out where the poor man's head stopped and the background began. I might have taken a chunk out of his head... :bonk:

And here's a .rar archive with all the leaders from this thread so far in the correct folders, including .ini files etc. Just extract it over your game and overwrite when prompted.

Please note; i take no credit for the creation of the images. I simply arranged them in the correct folders.

Copy files to:
Game folder->EAW->Graphics->Portraits->Leaders Portraits
Game folder->EAW->Graphics->Units->Leaders Units
Game folder->EAW->Graphics->Armies&Fleets->Leaders Armies
Game folder->EAW->GameData->Models

And don't forget to delete Models.cached in Models.

Not a graphics, but a leader. So maybe it will be a good place:

2133GERFerdinand Quade.mdl needs Title = GL. (otherwisehis title is NULL)
also it will be good to add
Ability0 = $abiColonial
Ability1 = $abiBlacks
as he served in South-West Africa as chief of staff in the Schutztruppe

The. mdl file is included in zip format.

File should go to: your hard drive -> To End All Wars\EAW\GameData\Models\ here

Instruction:
Extract the files, and copy into your EAW directory, overwriting when prompted.
Then go to [...]EAW\GameData\Models and delete the file named Models.Cached.
Start the game and enjoy.

The link is dead.

Anyone with a spare copy of http://www.mediafire.com/download/c4jxk ... l_Wars.rar to post somewhere?

Portraits for Dummies :bonk:
Can someone more tech savvy please write a simple numerical step process for getting all the portraits into the graphics file (particularly the missing ones).

Also repeating the above the can someone report the file with all the portraits updates?

Thanks in advance
