Can't Resume or reload a saved game :-(

I can't reload a saved game. Even when I click on 'Resume', nothing happens :-(
The icon changes briefly to a musketeer, then it just goes back to the main menu page.
I've tried rebooting the PC and everything, but it can't seem to go back to a saved game.

Odd?? Two questions:
1. You tried both the traditional load option and the resume option?
2. Are you running the game as an administrator?

Yeah using both load option and also as resume option.
I tried running the game as administrator through the C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Thirty Years War link but it won't start at all. (right click on autorun but nothing happens :-()

Please, try running the TYW.exe as admin, open a new game and try to load it after saving.

OK thanks, I've tried doing that and started a new game, saved it then came out completely and now it seems to be loading OK
