Since TYW is coming to Steam, it would be interesting to know the current state of the game. Do the events in the grand campaign function correctly now? Have the other issues mentioned in this thread been fixed? I have heard (watching a let's play on youtube) that the game crashes later on in the grand campaign; are the crashes fixed?

Thanks for all the work you put on the game; I'm looking forward to seeing it on Steam!

I do not understand how the Steam interface works with any game, but so far (a dozen games) I have not had a game crash.

The Steam version is 1.01 which is pretty much the public beta you have here (I believe there is only a couple of changes). We are working hard to compile the official patch for the regular version of the game, and will release it before the weekend, with just a bit of luck.

In the meantime, make sure to check out the thread on how to redeem your Steam copy!

So whats the current version of the Steam version ?
Is it the most current one with all fixes applied ?

Just bought this game. What's the current most up to date version. On the matrix site it's 1.01. Should I get and download 1.02 from here, or is that too problematic/broken? Did all the things reported in this thread ever get fixed?

As of now 1.01 from Matrix is all you need... it is newer than 1.02RC.

The patch numbering changed DON'T install 1.02RC over 1.01

Had to reinstall the game and I patched up to 1.02RC1, then realised the Matrix 1.01 is meant to tbe the most recent. Can I just apply Matrix 1.01 over 1.02? Will that work? Thanks.

Returning to this game after quite a while.....
I can't seem to get the official 1.01 patch. I have managed to update to the 1.02 RC. But would like to get up to date with it. Is there much difference between the two? I assume the 1.01 official fixes some of the things mentioned in this thread.
I have tried the official link to the Slitherine patch listed on this site, nothing shows for the ftp download. Tried Matrix and managed to download the patch, but can't install as it can't detect that I already have TYW installed.....
Even tried via Steam. Tried to redeem my code for a Steam key through both Matrix and Slitherine, but is says each time that I have already redeemed it. I haven't, Steam doesn't think I have TYW as one of my games.
Any help or suggestions most welcome

Forget this patch, the only released and valid is 1.01, with the changes listed here.

If you cannot install it, perhaps, uninstall the game, restart, then install the game and then apply the patch?

I'll try uninstalling and then starting again, hopefully the Matrix patch will recognize the installation this time round.......

No, it didn't, still not seeing that I have TYW installed. Even tried installing into C:/games like it tries to by default, still can't see that it is installed.....

Probably. And there is no patch in Ageod ftp, in fact of none of Miguel's games, they are only in Matrix ftp.

Did it not happen to you before with another game?

Can you not request a new setup file from Matrix?
