Diplomacy
Expeditionary force bug fixed!
More interface feedback, you get details on possible forces to sent (as a human player)
Naval forces are sent and received more reliably

* DB Improvement

- Improved French Suisse recruitment (now possible in Genève)
- Improved French Dalmatian units upgrade. More generally, the units of Foreign Troops recruited by France are either line or vets (because the DB otherwise does not allow upgrades).
- Fixed location of Tournai and Courtrai

* Text Strings
- Fixed some typos (e.g. King's Schilling event)
- Added Spanish translation (thanks to modders)

* Scenarios

- In January Campaign, the Fleets of Nelson and Collingwood have been split, and Nelson is now accurately off Toulon

* Events
- Fixed events for Austrian invaded (wronged message display removed)

Are you going to release soon an official version of the patch?
I ask this to decide whether to install the beta or wait.

I'm having difficulty with the link. It does not appear to download the patch.

Link confirmed working. Try doing a right click on it or use Chrome or Firefox.

Patch updated today. Minor changes to OOB, all files have been also checked as it seems some mysteriously did not make into the patch. Also, slight changes in diplomacy interface for exp. forces.

What do you mean by can't do purchases. Because the units are there in my version.

I tried again and it seems to be working.

Just finish beating Austria. Now I find Austrian units wandering around Holland and western Germany. Guess the wandering units issue isn't fixed?

Thanks for patch. Have problem in that I have d/l it. Folders and sub folders show correct modified date but "credits" still show v. 1.02.

Further to above: I have uninstalled reinstalled twice. Have ran update in C:\....Matrix Games\Wars Of Napoleon and in C:\....Matrix Games\Wars Of Napoleon \NGC to no avail.

Cannot recall having problems with Ageod's furnishing of patches. Ah well, the larger they become...

Are we going to get an official version of the patch?

And if so, an estimate would be appreciated.

On Steam the official patch level is 1.02a.

BTW the version number is in the '..\<Install Folder>\NGC\Settings\System.opt' at the top in plain text. Updating it if often forgotten in beta patch releases. You can update it manually to anything you prefer.

My game shows the latest patch as 1.03 February 24, which is the latest beta patch.

What I want to know is if this beta patch will be completed and made official.

hmmm looking into my installations, I actually have 2 1.03(.x) installations. One has the version label '1.03 - Public Beta 31st May - Alexander Ivanovich Osterman-Tolstoy special', and the other has '1.03.1 (February 24th, 2017)'. I may have edited the latter myself to differentiate the two, but I'm not about to do a test install to test that hypothesis.

As I've stated before, with beta patches, often such trivial errors squeak into them, because they are really just for testing purposes, and not meant for final release. They get cleaned up before they go official.

I have no idea when this will go GA (Generally Available), but I know of at least one major bug, which the devs haven't found time to fix yet; time is money and the devs can't live off of baguettes and smelly cheese for too long . In between they have to put out some new games too

What path do we use to install this beta patch if we are playing a Steam version? I have C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common which is where my Wars of Napoleon folder is located, and then NGC inside that. To which file folder do I tell the installation program to install the this 1.03 beta patch?

What is the destination folder for the beta patch ?

I have the Ageod shop version.
Loading screen says I still run the game in 1.02
And Nelson fleet is still off Gibraltar in the January Campaign after several installation attempts

The destination folder for patches is the installation folder for the game.

Have you installed into the correct folder?

I always suggest doing a fresh install when patching. I never install one patch over another, even if it ought to work.

Sometimes with patches the version parameter in the System.opt file doesn't get updated, which is what is displayed when starting the program. It's just a text in that file.

Nelson is now off Marseille and loading screen displays the 1.03 beta.

I've run this patch through four times and the Pressburg trigger appears to be blown:

--France sends peace offer through Laws and Decrees

--Austrian response in Laws and Decrees appears with prefix: opt_title_AUS_PeaceOfPressburg

--if manually accepted Austria gets back all initial locations (no territory given to Bavaria or Italy) and French units in Wien are moved just north of Regensburg

--if played with AI no effects at all.

Reinstalling with .02 patch.
