problem with patch

I don't install things to my C drive, preferring to leave as much free space as possible for the OS. However, when I try to run the auto-updater for WoN, it cannot find the game and will not run. So, I downloaded the patch from here, but, when I ran it, it also refused to run, presenting a message that WoN is not installed on my computer.

All of my games, including all of my other AGEOD games, are installed on the same drive. This is a new computer, so I have just recently had to install all of my games, and patch them all to the most recent version. It worked just fine for all off my other games, including all the AGEOD games. For some reason, the WoN patch will not cooperate.

I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide me to get the patch to run.
