Game crashes

I believe that WON has the potential to be one of the best, most comprehensive, war game I have ever seen. However, it is very unstable and continues to crash. I have a high end new machine used for intensive CAD operations, so I doubt it is a matter of not having adequate drivers or memory. The campaign crashes after about 20 turns every time I attempt the campaign. It is an unrecoverable crash. Rather than pasting the entire log, I have just pasted the couple of lines with critical errors;

I would like to attach the saved game for you, but the 10:48 PM Crash doesn't appear in my saved game logs. Perhaps it doesn't recognize what time zone I am in before I registered a few minutes ago. I would really appreciate any help you might offer as I do think it is a good layout. I just wonder if it was released prematurely.

It is patched with the 'Public Beta Patch' you can find in the 'Help Improve WON' subforum.

Thanks for the quick response. I will try that. I have been playing strategy games all my life. The level of detail you have created in this game makes it potentially the best I have seen.

Game still crashes

No, I'm afraid it crashes even more frequently now that I have installed the patch. I can't make it past the September 16th 1805 turn.[ATTACH]37121[/ATTACH]

I'm not sure I attached those files correctly. Let me know.

That was the Beta patch I installed prior to this crash. Not sure what else to do.

One thing is sure is that your error:

Is fixed in the beta patches.
If you get a new one, please zip your log and saved game. At the very least post your main log file and we will tell you where is your saved game. Don't restart the game before putting aside your mainlog, or it will be erased.

New campaign game made it as far as January 1806 and experienced unrecoverable crash. I zipped the saved game but receive the message that the file it too large to attach (it is only 4 MB)

My crashes only occurred on Win 7 machine. When I run WON on Win XP it does not crash.
Therefore I run it now on Win 7 in compatibility mode with Win XP (SP3). No crashes from that moment.
