Minor factions in the Caucasus

There are 2 minor factions, namely the Nogai and Terek that do not seem to have a homeland and no real presence on the map. They also do not seem to feature in any events that I can see. Yet they feature on the diplomatic list...at least for the Russians.

So the question is - has anyone ever seen them pop up or do anything?

Playing two games as Russia (pbem & solo) currently and I have not seen Nogai or Terek do anything so far.
Maybe something will happen if you declare war on them "Have at you, Nogai & Terek!"

Well I have gone through many of the files and have seen nothing so far. Given their unit roster (garrison and raider units), my guess is that they are a sort of afterthought.

Finally got a notice that the Nogai were a bit agitated in the fall of 1807, sent a small force to Astrakhan just in case they actually showed up with anything. In early 1808 now and haven't heard a peep or seen any of their forces.
