alliance with nassau or/and hesse

Hi,

France has veru good relationships with nassau. Impossible to integrate them in empire.
Moreover, i want to improve my relationships with Hesse to create wesphalia. Impossible. They refuse all my diplomat.
How are we supposed to do?
I have no idea. Perhaps a war ? Or just luck?

Nassau has never signed after more than 30 or 35 tries over several games, including with relationship at 95 at best and mostly north of 90.

I offer local support too, assuming it helps as well, but I really think there is a bug or lock somewhere : Nassau flat out refuses 100% of the time. After 30 or 35 tries it can't be a coincidence. Haven't tried with Hesse though.

Trust me Hesse is just as bad .... Should have used a model more akin to Crown of Glory or EU4.

Sorry Mimii2, I do not know of anyone who has done it, happy to hear from anyone who has. I prefer Iceberg's mod - in that you can annex minors, at substantial cost, and actually build and use the minor countries forces. This mod means you don't have your minor nation forces sitting around doing nothing, (AI controlled) and best of all enables you to have a real Napoleonic flavour by creating Divisions etc. of these minor forces.

Another thing I have noticed is that not only do they never accept your offers (even Nassau which starts at 95!) but when ever you offer state visit or commercial or whatever, and they don't accept, then it decreases your relationship!

I decided to tackle the bull by the horns and ... bug fixed! After some search there and there it turned out the culprit was not relationship bias or even diplomacy, it was about an AI 'optimization' where in some conditions minors nations at peace don't check all algorithms, and diplomacy was skipped...
