Grounds for Claiming and Acquiring Objectives & Land in Peace Treaties

Fri Dec 18, 2015 8:50 pm

As a junior partner in a war, I assume the senior partner's peace disposes of everything so a separate peace is necessary to press one's own terms with one of the other belligerents, such as keeping points-generating objectives taken. Is this right?

The general question is how, other than claim events, does one establish a claim (particularly on objectives taken), or if not it appears necessary to remain in permanent occupation (unless a senior ally gives it away).

As warscore increases, something is going on to put regions on the table for negotiation, as in an ongoing North African war there are certain patches of desert that may be asked/offered while others cannot. Looking Military Control, loyalty, development . . . I'm not seeing a pattern other than they are all in the west and most if not all form one contiguous reach of ground. The manual is not providing guidance.

Thanks for any wisdom on this.
