Save game location

Is it possible to change the location where games are saved? I'd like to be able to play the game across a couple of devices, so the 'My Games' folder would be better than having it tucked away in the game installation folder. Playing from a Steam download.

I am not sure about from within the game, but you can always use the create shortcut option for where folders are displayed. I use this to place all current games on the desktop.
So you could use it to place it in 'My Game' or wherever else it is convenient for you.

I've not used shortcuts like that before - wouldn't that just create a shortcut to where the file is saved, rather than change where it is saved?

As far as I know saves from Steam games are into 'My Games' in Documents. You can change the location of Documents that's for sure.
Maybe you want to change the location of your Steam library ?
