[Resolved] Critical Error when pressing Load button

Sun Sep 07, 2014 5:20 pm

Hello support team,

I'm having an issue with EAW 1.0 (Steam version, if it matter):

- whenever I press the Load button on the main menu, a critical error message pops up and then, when I click on Ok, the game simply close down.

It does work all good when I pick the Resume option though.

Here are the log and the savegame:

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate.

Anything else could be helpful?

It seems you are playing with the zip option activated, please uncheck it if that's the case. You'll also have to delete manually the saved files.

Just checked that Turn Compression isn't checked and it ain't.

That worked, thanks a lot Pocus!

Does that mean that one cannoy play more than one game at a time? (thinking about PBEM here.)

If anyone else faces the sames issues, what I did in detail:

in my "\Documents\My Games\To End All Wars\EAW\Saves\" folder, I deleted all subfolders but the one from my actual game "3 - The Great War1" and voila, it works.

No, there is no such problem. Perhaps this is a gameplay bug or more probably something about Windows locking a file, from what I read in the log. Hopefully you won't get this issue too many time.
