Hindenburg captured Petrograd, but was then forced to Archangelsk when Russia surrendered, I can't get there by ship or move him to Finland or any other manageable positions, should I consider his army lost or can you force a relocation?

Furthermore, all Allignment I had in Poland and Russia seems to be rebel alignment now, is it of any use to keep troops there to recapture important cities?

Re: Hindenburg's army, follow these steps to move it:

1) Browse out to the directory where your EAW.exe file is at
2) Open the EAW->Events folder
3) Open the WW1_TechEffects.sct file with a text editor (Notepad, etc)
4) Scroll to the very bottom of the file, and put the code below at the very end of the file, then save
" wrote:StartEvent = evt_Debug_MoveHindenburgToBerlin|1|0|NULL|NULL|$Berlin|NULL

Conditions

Actions
SelectFaction = CEN
SelectSubUnits = Region $Archangelsk
AlterCuSubUnit = Move $Berlin
EndEvent

5) Run the game and process the turn, the event should fire and move the force back to Berlin

Re: Poland and Russia, yes, it's worth putting troops there to get money & WSU, it becomes rebel alignment to represent the chaos of Russia's surrender and Germany's need to commit troops to garrison duty to actually get much benefit from the conquered territory.

cheers!

Archangelsk is added to the list of areas blocked after Russian surrender. I may have to do the same to the other Russian off-map regions too. What's happening is any Central Powers forces in a region which gets blocked are routed to the closest non-blocked region. In this case, Petrograd is nearest to Archangelsk so that's where the force went to, but then had no way to get out. Not an engine bug, more an oversight on the surrender script.

I just had this same problem, except my armies were moved from Petrograd across the sea to Finland. Took me a couple months to ferry them all back
