The Tool tip is very very vague.. how does someone actually build the Rail line?
( I control the territory the line would take and the year is 1916 )

It will be started automatically from January 1916 if Britain is at war with the Turks and controls all the Sinaï coastal regions from the Suez canal to El Arish. Costs 500$, takes 24 turns

Well, that's interesting and explains why I wasn't able to rebuild it either. I don't recall reading that in the manual, but thanks. My campaign lasted into June 1917 but I don't recall it being built even though GB was in the WE and Ottoman's in the CP; I must have overlooked it.

IIRC there is a tooltip on the construction icon on the map that should explain it, no? And historically it took almost a year to complete it (there was a railroad + a water pipeline)

It just state's that if you control land's X - Y - Z you may build the line after 1916.

Right, so for sure this must be improved. I would suggest you tell Altaris (the game designer) about the suggestion

In light of the upcoming American Thanksgiving, I just wanted to thank you for the absolutely great job you and your team did on TEAW. It is leap years ahead of any WWI game I've ever played. Except for PON, this is definitely the best wargame ever, IMO. I believe you are also responsible for the MOD? If so, I hope you get it included as a DLC because from what I've seen, the developer deserves monetary compensation for such a great job on that project, too.
